Idaho Weekend

This memorial weekend was spent in Idaho with our friend's grandparents, Terry and Betty. In addition to being hilarious, these seniors have a garage full of more toys than I have ever seen in one place: four wheelers, jet skis, scooters, snowmobiles, tractors, vintage cars, FIRE TRUCKS...and I'm probably forgetting something!
The front of the garage says "Terry's Toy Shop" and he told us that he's a professional "play boy" which made me laugh. I admire his fearless attitude and energy! Age hasn't slowed him down! Terry took us on a ride in his Zephyr, we went four wheeling in the sand dunes, jet skiing on snake river, rode tractors around the property...he really wore us out!

I hope you had a fun memorial day weekend!

Spring Hair Photoshoot

Last week I colored, cut and styled my favorite people for some new website images! They turned out amazing! I love these people and I love my job! Here are a few favorites from the shoot:

Her eyelashes. Every time I look at this photo I am in awe.

I made these flower crowns for the shoot and am in love with how they turned out!

I took Ashley's hair light (can you believe her natural hair color is almost black?) and I think it turned out soft and effortless. And I'll be honest, it's pretty easy to make Joey look dapper. He pulls off anything I give him ;)

It was a bit drizzly during the shoot but it made everything look so lush and green! #silverlining

So they are just the cutest! Can't wait until my next shoot!

Also, you can find the genius that was behind the camera here. She is just the greatest!

Hair is my Canvas

Some artists paint on canvas, others manipulate sculpture. I paint and manipulate hair. It's a beautiful medium because it's (usually ;) ) attached to people! I can be creative while connecting with amazing people; it's a dream job. I am incredibly lucky. It's the most fulfilling thing.

LA Weekend

Spent the weekend in L.A. with my mom visiting my brother and sister-in-law and it was pretty amazing. We spent an evening on newport beach, ate burgers at Ruby's, hiked the hollywood sign and enjoyed the beautiful weather. If I never had to drive, I'd move there in a heartbeat ;)

And even though I was away from my husband, we connected on very important issues --#theroyalbaby

I left this message on my brother's chalkboard as we were leaving. Props if you know the reference! (I could literally watch this movie everyday. That, and the Keira Knightley Pride and Prejudice)
